Congratulations to the following students who made the 2008-2009 Wind Ensemble!!!

Please note that there will be retesting in the fall to determine seating. If you want to keep your present chair, practicing and taking lessons during the summer is a must.If you need a teacher, please contact me via e-mail and I will point you in the right direction.

Clarinet and Saxophone players: If you have a "stock" mouthpiece. You need to purchase an appropriate mouthpiece. I recommend the following: *

*If you are not taking privately

Clarinet: Vandorian B45 with a Rovner ligature (lite). You can purchase this on the web. Go to (Music 123 or Weiner Music). Look up the stated mouthpieces and ligature. You should also have a box of reeds (Vadorian 3 [minimum]). You must have these items on the first day of school.

Saxophone: Selmer C** (double star) with Rovner ligature (optional). 1 box of Vadorian reeds (3 minimum). You must have these items on the first day of school.

Your first test will cover the following:

1. All major scales from memory (7 sharp and 7 flat = 14 + C major = 15 major scales). I will pick 2
2. A selection from the 2008 marching band music (you will be able to download this from the band web site starting in late July/early August).
3. Selection of Stars and Stripes Forever (Download)
